Introducing Storyraise 3.5, an update to our report builder that makes it even easier to transform your copy into a polished, professional-looking report. With features to enhance content organization and customized styling, building impactful reports is more intuitive and hassle-free.

Here are new features included in our update.

1️⃣ Pin your favorites: turn your best reports into reusable templates 

This feature makes creating new reports more convenient by allowing you to save your current reports as templates for future use. Start your next report by navigating to your saved templates and duplicating one.

How to make one or more of your published reports into reusable templates 📒

1. In the top menu of your report, click the leftmost icon with four horizontal lines.
2. Select “Save as Template” and name your template.
3. To see your template, click the icon with four horizontal lines again and select “Reports Home.”
4. Next to “Reports,” click “Templates.”
5. Switch from Storyraise Templates” to “Your Templates” in the top right corner.

2️⃣ Use a Storyraise template, created for all of your reporting needs

This feature offers a number of preloaded Storyraise templates so you can get a head start on creating your report. From impact reports to newsletters, Storyraise has it all. Just select a template for the type of report you want to create and then customize to your heart’s desire.

1. In the top menu of the “Reports” page, click the leftmost icon with four horizontal lines and select “Reports Home.”
2. Next to “Reports,” click “Templates.”

3️⃣ Style your reports with brand fonts and colors for a consistent look

Manage the look and feel of your blocks by selecting font pairs and color palettes directly from your brand kit. This ensures all your blocks have a consistent style that matches your brand. And when applying those color changes, you can choose to implement them for all blocks or only specific ones, giving you flexibility.

1. In the right-hand menu of your report, select “Manage Block Styles.”
2. Click “More Font Pairings” to choose ones from your brand kit.
3. Click “More Color Palettes” to choose ones from your brand kit.
4. Select “Edit All Styles” to further customize the fonts and colors of your titles, headings and copy.
5. Select “Apply This Style to the Entire Section?” if desired.
6. Click “Looks Good/Apply Style” to apply your selections.

How to implement color changes within blocks in your report 🎨

1. Once you’ve selected your fonts and colors, click on a block in your report.
2. Under “Set Block Style,” choose your primary or secondary color/font scheme.

4️⃣ Change the layout of a report page with a single click

This feature makes customization even easier by allowing you to cycle through different block layouts with just a click until you find the perfect fit.

1. Click on a block in your report.
2. Under “Set Block Style,” click “Change Layout” until you arrive at one you like.

5️⃣ Use AI to build multiple pages of your report

This feature harnesses the power of Storyraise AI, allowing you to build specialized sections in minutes. Simply give Storyraise AI instructions about what you need and watch as your content takes shape. And voilà – you saved time and effort!

How to use AI to quickly create a new section ✅

1. Add a new section by clicking the + sign on the left-hand side of your report.
2. At the bottom of the screen next to “Section Builder,” select one of the preloaded options or type in a short description of what you need.
3. Watch as Storyraise AI generates a section header and subsequent pages for you.
4. Customize those pages with the rest of the tools in the report builder.

6️⃣ Build polished-looking blocks just by copying and pasting

Paste your pre-existing content into the report builder. If you need to add elements, like buttons or images, simply select an existing element in your document and add a new element above or below it with a single click. No more starting from scratch!

How to add a block using pre-existing copy 👷

1. From the right-hand menu of your report, select a type of block.
2. Paste in your copy for that block and click “Add to Report.”
3. To add in other elements, select a text box on your report page, then select a new element from the toolbar, located at the bottom of your report page. Insert the new element above or below the existing element.
4. Customize your block’s font and color with the report styling features described above.
5. Enhance your block’s copy by using the text generation tool.

7️⃣ Sort sections to manage content organization

This feature offers improved section sorting to make content organization easier than ever. With only a few clicks, you can rearrange your entire report.

1. In the left-hand menu of your report, click “Sort Sections.”
2. Rearrange sections as you desire.
3. Click “Done Sorting.”

8️⃣ Export PDFs in any view you want

With this feature, you now have the flexibility to export your PDFs in both landscape and portrait orientations, giving you more options for how your final documents look.

How to preview a PDF in all orientations 💻

1. In the top menu of your report, click “Preview” and then “Open PDF Preview.”
2. Under “Select Document Orientation,” switch between “Portrait” and “Landscape.”
