Knowing your audience and evaluating how they interact with your content is one of the most important steps in creating a successful digital report. That being said, compiling insights and metric data can be tedious, tiring, and confusing when done manually. That’s why we’re introducing Storyraise Insights: the AI powered metrics tool that takes your reports to the next level.
Keep reading to learn more about the standard features offered in Storyraise Insights, how to dive deeper into the data and why understanding these metrics is so important.
1. Standard Metrics in Storyraise
To begin your journey into this data, log into your Storyraise account and click on the tab on the left that reads “Insights.” A dashboard will open with a number of data points.
Automatically provided for you are the following metrics:
– Number of opens: how many times the report was opened across all constituents
– Constituents reached: the number of individual constituents that opened the report
– Average sections viewed: how many pages/sections were viewed on average across all constituents
– Top five regions by views: the most common regions of constituents’ IP addresses who opened the report
– Top constituents by engagement score: the most engaged readers, calculated by how many times one constituent viewed the report and how much time they spent engaging with each section
For these last two metrics, you can click “See More” to get specific information about regions and constituents.
2. Diving Deeper
Once you’ve read through the standard insights, you’ll likely want to get more information about a certain data point or ask more specialized questions of the metrics. We have a furry friend who can help.
Enter Sammy Sloth, our AI-powered mascot.
Simply type any data-related query into the chat box at the bottom of your screen. Then, Sammy will compile the numbers and get you an answer. You can also ask Sammy how to improve a section to get more engagement, and he’ll offer you suggestions.
The best part? Your chats with Sammy are completely private. Only you can see what questions you’ve asked him, even if there are multiple users in your account.
3. Understanding Insights
You’ve received the standard data and asked Sammy for further information. Now what? How can you use those metrics to amplify the efficacy of your future reports? These insights are so important because they allow you to see how successful your report was, and to know your audience.
With this data, you can see where your most engaged donors live, meaning you can create targeted social campaigns for those regions or you can include beneficiary stories from those places in your next report. You can also see which sections resonated most with your donors, whether that be impactful statistics, interactive videos or touching stories, and tailor future content around those narratives.
Metrics are a key tool for discovering what’s working in your report and what needs improvement, and Storyraise Insights makes it easy to identify and address those gaps to increase donor engagement.
